We Drove by a Nudist Community Today

hola hola homies!

wow this was a busy week! we had stake youth conference outside in the parking lot! haha i gave a talk and all 9 of the sister missionaries in our ward sang. ekkkks haha! it didn't go too bad though :)

this week we had two lessons with our friend maria, and lessons with our friends omar and erick! they are all doing well.
- maria and her son love meeting with us and really want to be baptized! it makes me so happy to see them progress and see how the gospel has changed their lives. maria is so nice!
- omar lives 30 minutes away but I love visiting him! he's bald, buff and looks like the type of guy who you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley but he's actually THEE nicest guy and he has the cutest baby and dogs! he's great!
- erick lives far away too so we haven't gotten to meet him in person but he's a cool guy too! still getting to know him.

on a fun note, we made some really funny videos this week haha!! remember the wedding dance down the aisle from the office? also we got to go to the redwoods today which is why we drove by a nudist community haha! dont worry. there was a fence :)

my spiritual thought for this week is in 3 nephi 13 verse 8. it is about prayer and it simply says, "your Father knoweth what things ye have need of before ye ask him". He knows us personally and perfectly. He is waiting to bless us! we just need to ask. when we pray and act in faith it shows Him that we are willing and ready to receive. so that is my invitation for you! as conference is coming up I invite you to go into it with a question, and to pray and ask Heavenly Father for His help. as you intentionally listen to the speakers and the Spirit the answers that Heavenly Father knows you need will come. :)

i hope you all are doing good! les amo mucho! paz fuera! tenga una buena semana!

Fruity Pebbles

hola homies! guess what??!

fun highlights: we had another beach trip! we got to go to fort bragg for monday and tuesday this week! the air was really clear there and the ocean was so pretty!

lesson highlights: the best part of going to fort bragg was that we got to teach nicolas in person for the first time! we also had some really good in-person lessons with our friends omar and maria! they are all doing really well and i love meeting with them!

food highlights: I had a really good burrito in fort bragg, and sister baguley made us lunch after we harvested and weeded her garden :)

weird things: we got about 6 bags of random food from a couple in our ward because they're moving... so now we have a lot of cereal and back-of-the-cubard stuff haha also!!! we got to go to a weird antique store which was pretty cool

spiritual thought: right now I'm reading in 3 nephi which is kind of a really good part in the book of mormon, go read it! chapter 10 is right before Christ comes down and visits the people in the Americas. after all the noise and chaos ends it says in verse 2, "there was silence." and then after this silence in verse 3, "the people did hear". I love these verses because it gives us the pattern of how we can receive answers and personal revelation for our lives. we need to be quiet and listen for the Holy Ghost. we are constantly surrounded by noise and chaos. but one blessing I have seen from this pandemic is I have more time to be quiet and to listen. I'm still learning and I'm not perfect but I know that if we take time to listen we can receive personal revelation from our Heavenly Father. I invite you to go do it! I promise you if you make time to ponder like the people of nephi did in the Book of Mormon then you will be able to hear Him.

les amo mucho! paz fuera! tenga una buena semana!

Ghost Riders in the Sky

¡hola hola amigos! ¿qué tal?

our theme song from this week was ghost riders in the sky by the legend johnny cash. we're still working on a music video but it's coming along! stay tuned.

this week was great! here are some highlights:
- basically had the fire nation attack here at the beginning of the week, there was ash on our car. it was so smokey we couldn't tell where the sun was most of the time, but when we could it was bright red. gross!
- we had exchanges in middletown which was way fun! I got to be with sister richardson and sister suman and we had some awesome lessons together!! they're the besttt <3
- hermana morgan had her ONE YEAR mark (mmmmm we went and got some super good pastries from downtown)
- we got to do service! we whitewashed our neighbor's fence with the 6 other sisters in our ward! (haha that's for you dad finally did it)
- i used some Hungarian this week! some members have a Hungarian dog. i told him szeretlek, pretty sure he woofed it back.

one of the things that stuck out to me in my Book of Mormon studies this week was in 3 nephi. there we read about the amazing spiritual experiences that the people had. they were able to see tons of miracles and the fulfillment of many prophesies! but.... they forgot about them. because they didn't remember (like the scriptures remind us) they lost their faith.

the scriptures are written for us. right now. one of their purposes is to teach us how to be better. one thing I decided to do after studying this week was to write down my spiritual experiences together in one journal. writing these experiences down has helped me to see God's hand in my life and has shown me more miracles that I didn't even notice before! sometimes it takes us looking back to see answers to prayers, the importance of certain experiences, and the tender mercies that really were mighty miracles. I invite you to do the same and I promise you that you will be able to better see that God is in the details when we remember Him!!

love you all tons and tons and hope you have a great week! les amo mucho! paz fuera amigos!

I Have a Boyfriend From Africa Now I Guess????

¿qué pasa calabazas?

FIRST OF ALL! HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEW!! YOURE A BALLER Y TE AMO UN MONTÓN!!!

hope you all have had a great week, our week was awesome! the middletown sisters got to go home on tuesday, so our house isn't PACKED like sardines anymore :) we had a busy week with zone and combined district council AND we started teaching TWO new people this week! whoot whoot! their names are nicholas and omar. they're super cool guys and we are super stoked to teach them!

ALSO! YAY! i have two firsts!

first #1: i invited someone to be baptized in spanish!! whaaaaattt lol he just responded and said "mm.. sí" (like duh) and I was like OKAY DOPE

first #2: i got my first lesson from my own Facebook finding!! whoot whoot!! its next sunday so cross your fingers and say some prayers that it goes good! he seems awesome!

to address the subject heading; facebook finding is interesting... haha! but this guy (who is a member from africa) has been messaging me, his last message was, "it's 2 am i'm trying to catch some sleep we chat later ... good night". so anyway i guess you could say things are getting pretty serious. another guy asked if I was training to be a nun, and another told me they just got out of prison after 25 years... wild!!

on a more spiritual note, something I've been thinking about this week is the love our Heavenly Father has for us. it's one of my most favorite things to teach because it encompasses everything. why we're here, what we need to do, and why we have the experiences we have. it's all because God loves us! infinity and perfectly, collectively and individually. HE LOVES YOU. one scripture I love in psalm 147:4 says, "He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by their names." if He knows the stars He most certainly knows you, His child. He knows all you are going through. He's always reaching out to us, we just need to turn to Him.

i hope you all have a great week! les amo mucho! paz fuera amigos!

quotes from hermana tipton:

"i'll get engaged at your wedding so all the attention is on me"

"if I looked like kira knightley I DEFINITELY wouldn't be here right now"

"I kind of have a knowledge of toilets *shrugs*"

"was the moon landing a hoax???"
